Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I do not bill insurance directly. Thoughtful Therapies is a private-pay practice, which allows me to provide longer, more personalized sessions without the restrictions insurance companies often place on care.

Many clients find this model gives them more flexibility, privacy, and the ability to truly focus on healing. If you’d like, I can provide a superbill after each session that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend checking with your provider about your specific benefits.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards. A credit card must be kept on file to hold scheduled appointment. If payment is not received at the time of appointment, no future appointments will be made until payment is received.

How do I get my prescription refilled?

Prescription refill requests can be made through the HIPAA-compliant messaging system Spruce Health or in your patient portal through Tebra/Kareo. Please allow up to 48 business hours for processing, excluding weekends and holidays.

How do I contact the provider in between sessions?

You can reach your provider through the HIPAA-compliant messaging system Spruce Health or in your patient portal through Tebra/Kareo. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response, excluding weekends and holidays.

What happens if I cancel an appointment?

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $150 fee charged to the credit card on file.

Do you offer in-person visits?

Appointments are conducted exclusively through HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms. In-person visits may be offered in the future, and details will be shared when available.
